I look forward to speaking at Gordon College at their Asian Student Organization on “Racial Identity”. With the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes, it is so important for young students to have time to share and listen to stories on anti-Asian racism.

I am so happy that Gordon College will celebrate AAPI Heritage Month early in April before all the students leave campus. It is important to talk about and be aware of the long history of AAPI’s in America. It is good to celebrate our contributions and how we have made America stronger and better.

The title of the event is “Faith in the Footsteps of a Friend: A Lecture with Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim

I will be sharing my testimony about how I came to faith and how my cultural identity interacts with my identity in Christ. I will share a time when I really struggled because of your heritage and how I have you grown to appreciate it. I will share how it has affected my vocation.

I will also talk about how we are to move forward as Christians from the recent hate crimes and the long history of discrimination in America.

A picture with the A.S.I.A. leadership team who invited me and organized the beautiful event. I am grateful to them.

I was happy to sign my books #embracingtheother and #keepinghopealive: Sermons & speeches of @revjjackson for the wonderful students at @gc_asia.

“We live in a time of great racial strife and global conflict. How do we work toward healing, reconciliation, and justice among all people, regardless of race or gender?”

I hope the beautiful students in @gc_asia enjoy my books!
